Your shoot plan
Everything you need to come home with the shot.
Private location scouting
Lesser-known spots picked for your style and shared as private map pins. They never appear on this website.
Light & tide timings
Sunrise and sunset direction for each spot, golden and blue hour, low-tide windows and the season's haze and cloud patterns.
Day-by-day shot list
Which spot at which hour, realistic drive times between them, and a rain-day backup for every shoot day.
Drone & permit guidance
Which approvals your shot list needs, which places are off-limits to drones, and when to apply so nothing holds you up.
Access & etiquette
Opening hours, entry rules, dress codes at temples, and where you need to ask before pointing a camera at people.
Practical logistics
Where to stay for early calls, charging and data on the road, and which roads are slow in the wet season.
A few frames we'd send you to
We won't name them here. That's the point.

AI-created visual inspiration. Your plan includes real, privately scouted locations.
Optional add-on
A local fixer on the ground.
Add a fixer who knows every spot in your plan. They handle the 4am pickups, find the back way in, talk to landowners and village elders when you need access, and keep you moving so you don't lose the light.
Book them for a single sunrise or for your whole trip.

Shoot (with us, if you like)
Go it alone with the plan, or add a local fixer who knows every spot and gets you there before sunrise.
Drones and permits: the short version
- Camera drones need approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka before you fly, and the process can include a security clearance. Apply weeks ahead, not days.
- Heritage sites such as Sigiriya and Anuradhapura, and national parks, need separate permission — and drones are generally not allowed over wildlife.
- Night flying is not permitted, and you must keep your drone within visual line of sight.
- Your shoot plan flags every spot where a drone or a tripod might need permission, so there are no surprises on the day.
Rules change. We point you to the official sources, but always confirm with the authorities before you fly.
Plan around the light
Sri Lanka has two monsoons, so somewhere on the island is always in season. Our month-by-month guides show where the weather is clear, and our route times help you work out how far you can get before sunrise.
Frequently asked questions
Do you publish the exact locations?
No. The spots are only shared privately with the people we plan for, as map pins in your shoot plan. That's what keeps them worth filming.
Can you get my drone permit for me?
We'll tell you exactly which approvals your shot list needs and help you with the paperwork, but permits are issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka and other authorities, and can take several weeks. Start as early as you can.
How far in advance should I contact you?
Ideally three to four weeks before you arrive, and earlier if you're flying a drone or filming in national parks or heritage sites, since those approvals take time.
How much does a shoot plan cost?
It depends on the number of shoot days, how many regions you cover and whether you want a fixer on the ground. Message us with your dates and we'll send a quote.
Do you work with brands and production crews?
Yes. We plan for solo creators, couples on a shoot and small production crews. Tell us the size of your team when you get in touch.
When is the best time of year to shoot?
It depends on the region. The south and west coasts are clearest from December to April, the hill country from January to April, and the east coast from May to September. Our month-by-month guides break it down.
Tell us what you want to shoot.
